Shelly Garrett graduated in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in social sciences from OSU. Mrs. Garrett taught middle school geography and world cultures for 10 years at Sequoyah Middle School. She has been married to her husband Roger for 20 years and they have two sons. The Garrett family has been on their home-school journey for 5 years now. They attend Life Church at the OKC campus where they serve as a family in LifeKids and Switch and also lead a life group. The Garrett family is also extremely active in supporting Cade as he pursues his love of all things MMA at Pride Mixed Martial Arts and supporting Connor as he pursues his love of football with the Patriots home-school football team. Mrs. Garrett loves the excitement of learning and hopes to instill that passion in her students. She uses a variety of teaching methods to engage her students and help them understand the past so they can move forward in the future.

Sheila Ives is an Oklahoma City native and has a B.S. in Psychology. Her husband, Bob, and she have lived in northwest Oklahoma City since 2001. She has four children and ten grandchildren. Mrs. Ives has worked with the signing-deaf population for 32 years and in eight states from Birmingham, Alabama to Sacramento, California. She has passed interpreter-screening boards (different states) all four times that she applied. Through most of her signing career, she has served as a free-lance interpreter in medical, legal, professional training, and religious settings. The last 14 years of her signing career were spent interpreting for and tutoring deaf students in school districts in Kansas and Oklahoma, before a wrist injury took her out of the full-time interpreting arena. Mrs. Ives brings a wide and varied background of experience to her classroom.
Charlotte Moore comes from a homeschooling background, having been educated in her home for 12 years. She was apprenticed to a professional artist, Dennis Parker, in Oklahoma City for 4 years studying traditional art taught in the style and techniques of the old masters. She also studied under one of the most well-known watercolorists of Oklahoma, Cletus Smith. Ms. Moore has organized several art shows of her own works in the past and has enjoyed the opportunity of illustrating two educational books for children. Ms. Moore has taught drawing and watercolor classes to students of middle school age for the past 5 years as well as provided one-on-one tutoring in various art techniques. She has a lifelong passion for the arts encompassing a broad range of medias and styles and is always excited about awakening artistic gifts in young students. Her primary goal is to help students find their own creative niche and enjoy the journey of artistic creation.
Debbie Moore has been married to her husband, Rick, for 34 years. They have two sons and one daughter. Each of their three children is now grown, but each one was home educated from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Mrs. Moore received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Education/Spanish from the University of Central Oklahoma, and she has a current teaching certificate from the State of Oklahoma in Spanish, History, and English. She has been teaching Spanish in homeschool coops for the past 11 years and is currently teaching Spanish at Southwest Covenant Schools.
