David Sholler ’06, serves as Vice President of Public Relations and Athlete Marketing for the UFC. In his seventh year with the largest mixed martial arts promotion in the world, Sholler oversees public relations efforts for the organization’s 40+ live, global events and roster of nearly 600 athletes. In 2014, Sholler was given the added responsibility of overseeing the organization’s newly-formed Athlete Marketing and Development Division, which focuses on its athletes’ health, well-being, education, and career maximization. Under Sholler’s direction, the UFC Public Relations department has helped position its athletes and brand with some of the biggest mainstream media outlets in the world, including ESPN, FOX, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, as well as numerous top radio, late night and entertainment shows. As a result, UFC is now home to some of the most recognizable stars in sports today, including champions Ronda Rousey and ConorMcGregor. Aimee Belgard ’96 has been sworn in as a state Superior Court judge. She was assigned to handle small claims and landlord-tenant cases in Mount Holly beginning Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Belgard, 41, lives in Edgewater Park and previously was a member of the township committee there. She earned a law degree from Widener University in 1999 after receiving a bachelor of science degree in environmental studies from Stockton University. She worked for the Sweeney & Sheehan law firm in Westmont between 1999 and 2013, trying cases in Superior Court and filing appeals. J.C. Lore ’95, co-author of Modern Trial Advocacy: Analysis and Practice, recently released its fifth edition. It has been the go-to text to deliver positive results in the courtroom and now includes using electronic visuals and technology in the courtroom and is accompanied with video tutorials on core techniques. Lela Albert graduated in 2013, with a BA in Criminal Justice and currently works at Ranch Hope, Inc., aresidential program for juveniles. Lela is a House Parent, role model, and mentor. She also works from time to time with juvenile victims of Human Trafficking and various law enforcement agencies. The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) Board of Directors has appointed Linda R. Bazemore ’88 as the vice president of administration and finance. In her new role, Bazemore will oversee the operation of the finance, human resources and information technology departments. “We are delighted that Linda is joining ACUA,” said Stockton alumnus and president of ACUA, Richard S. Dovey ’75. “She brings with her a solid background in finance and administration and will no doubt be an asset to the organization,” Dovey said. Steve Peacock graduated in 1997 with a degree in communications, which he has used to secure a job as a language arts teacher at Lakewood High School. Peacock also serves as the “voice” of the school’s basketball program. He has been invited to announce the mixed martialarts (MMA) Cage Fury Fighting Championships on February 21, “Fighters against Spousal Abuse” awareness-raising campaign and competition at the GPG Event Center on Route 73 in Pennsauken. The law firm of Sherman Silverstein is pleased to announce that William Mackin, Esq. ’83, one of the state’s most distinguished and experienced bankruptcy lawyers, has joined the firm as a shareholder. Mackin will serve as co-chair, with bankruptcy attorney Arthur Abramowitz, of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Workout department. Tom Julian graduated in 1998 with a BA in Communication Studies and recently released his first novel, Timberwolf.
