Isaiah “The Beast” Chapman has always been a talented fighter. At 5’7” and a fighting weight of 135 pounds, he has the textbook physique and prime attitude for a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) career.
This 25-year-old fighter has a stellar 6-2 record since going pro.
In 2014, he was introduced to Isagenix. For him, it is the perfect nutrition plan to fit his demanding lifestyle and hectic schedule. He says he’ll “never stop taking Isagenix.” From training five to six days a week–sometimes twice a day, going to school, and caring for his three young children, Isaiah needed the right nutrition to keep him going.
We caught up with Isaiah to talk about his professional MMA career and how he incorporates Isagenix into his lifestyle. Here’s what he had to say:
How do you train for a fight?
“A couple times a week, I go in twice a day for a couple different classes. I train with one of my coaches doing some sparring. I’ll also get in some lifting before or after training.”
How do you keep up your energy and focus?
“I stay energized with an IsaPro® and Ionix® Supreme—I love that stuff. I always grab the IsaLean® Bars–I like the Nutty Caramel Cashew and I take a Cleanse for Life® shot every other day.”
How did you know Isagenix was for you?
“When my buddy Eric introduced me to Isagenix, I was interested just from listening to how dedicated he was to it. Now, I can definitely tell the difference in training and just everyday life. I feel like I’m able to perform better, my breathing and speed feel better and it’s helped me to put on muscle mass.”
You’re known as being soft-spoken in your everyday life. How do you transition from this humble personality to your intense fight mode?
“I like to keep balance. I’m definitely soft-spoken. I have two little girls and my little man at home. I feel like it’s very down-to-earth. Then getting in the cage gives me a chance to flip that switch—I’m holding it all in until it’s time to let loose.”
How did you earn the nickname, “The Beast”?
“My mom actually gave me the nickname. When I first started wrestling in middle school, she would call me her ‘Little Beast.’ Once I started training MMA at 19, my coach brought it up—he said I was kind of a beast and it just clicked.”
How do you deal with a loss?
“Walking away from a loss is challenging. I know it’s all about competition, so I go back and go over the game plan that I need to work on. I pick out flaws during the fight. It makes me want to work harder to improve those areas.”
Do you share Isagenix products with family and friends?
“I definitely tell them about Isagenix. I tell them I’ll never stop taking it—for anybody to say that, I think it makes an impact on others. And my kids love it. Just the other day, my three-year old said ‘Dad, I love when you make your shakes because I try to drink them all up.’ So every time my kids see me make a shake, they want to huddle around and take a sip.”
What do you consider to be your most successful career moments?
“I’m definitely proud of the titles I’ve won and of all my accomplishments. I like to think of every fight being harder than the one before. Being able to get out there and perform, then walk away wanting to compete again is an accomplishment.”
