As a recent college graduate, I’m exploring who I am and where I want to be in life. I wish I could take my journey on the road 365 days a year, but travel requires a bit of funding and a lot of time. I use my spare time – well, most of my time – working toward an exciting career in journalism.
Since my junior year in high school, I’ve had the opportunity to explore positions as varied as technology reporter for a scientific journal to editorial clerk for The New York Times. As my portfolio has grown, so have I, and I’m happy to say I have quite a bit to show for it.
My passion and eye for news have paved the way for my future in journalism. After spending this past summer in Phoenix, where I joined an ambitious investigative journalism initiative called , I relocated to Chicago. I’m now working for as an editorial assistant and volunteering with the as managing editor of our blog. Still, though, I’m always looking for a new opportunity. Whether you’re an employer looking for young, ambitious talent or another eager journalist looking for an example, I encourage you to check out my work, linked below, and .
Employers, I will be happy to provide you with references, their contact information and my phone number.
