Washington Nationals 1B Ryan Zimmerman (foot) played five innings at first base in his first Grapefruit League game in the field Wednesday, March 16, and nothing stood out. He went 1-for-3 at the plate with a single and also drove the ball to the warning track for an out. Zimmerman said he doesn’t feel foreign to first base anymore, either. Tip: Zimm had terrible results trying to play through plantar fasciitis early last year. A rebound late in the year gives hope heading into 2016, but he's coming off two injury-shortened seasons and isn't a lock for regular playing time.
