ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Thousands of people filled Scottrade Center for the 27th annual Guns N' Hoses event.
The event raises money for the families of first responders killed in the line of duty.
Firefighter box police officers during the event. Fans participate in raffles and donate money to the cause.
six firefighters and police officers were killed in the line of duty since the last Guns 'N Hoses.
"It means a lot to help these families, and it is all worth it," Eureka Fire District Firefighter Pari Stocker said. "Win or loose I am happy."
Pari ended up winning her fight.
To date, organizers said the event has raised more than $4.1 million.
